Campaign Update: Preparing for January
It has been a few months since my last official blog post back in June.
You may have thought we went quiet,
the truth is we have just been hard at work.
We spent the summer pulling public records and holding the current Board of Supervisors accountable like no one has done here before.
We exposed their backlog of missing meeting minutes (still on going!).
We broke down the county budget to show exactly how they could fund public safety without a massive real estate tax hike.
We are working to keep track of the record to prevent continued bad developer deals.
We also laid out a clear plan to finally secure our local water infrastructure.
The local establishment wants you to forget all about their tax increases by the time the next election rolls around.
They want to keep hiding behind procedural rules to silence your voices during public comment periods.
They expect you to just accept the status quo, because
that is where they are most comfortable, however
we are not going to let that happen!.
January 1st marks the official start of the 2027 election year,
that is exactly when this campaign shifts into high gear!
We are spending the fall building our resources so we can hit the ground running on day one,
I need every resident of the Western District to get ready for the fight ahead.
A campaign is only as strong as the citizens standing behind it.
If you have not already, please consider making a kickoff donation today.
You can also pick up some of our new campaign gear from the online store to show your support.
Talk to your neighbors and make sure they know what is happening in our county government, and remember to get out and vote!
We are going to restore common sense to Caroline County together!
